Ecology development bureau provides many services and studies that serve the Saudi society in particular

and the Arab world in general. Surface water refers to water occurring in lakes, rivers, streams, or other fresh water sources used for drinking water supplies. Groundwater is generally stored in aqueducts, underground layers of porous rocks that are saturated with water. These aqueducts receive water as soil becomes saturated with precipitation or through stream and river runoff. As the aqueducts exceed their capacity for water storage, they will bleed water back into streams or rivers. The aqueducts maintain a natural balance of water, alternately receiving or giving water as their saturation levels oscillate. Throughout this process, water constantly moves between surface and groundwater sources, sharing contaminants. With the ability to simulate groundwater and surface water interactions, and the added capability of calculating changes to groundwater chemistry, groundwater professionals now have a complete set of tools necessary for addressing water quality, groundwater supply, and source water protection initiatives.

Ecology Development Bureau cabipaly to conduct the fllowing:

  • Water resources survey and classification.
  • Prospecting for ground water sources.
  • Assess the quantities and qualities of groundwater.
  • Design fields, wells to supply drinking water and other uses.
  • Identify surface water basins.
  • collecting samples of surface water and groundwater and interpreting the results of laboratory tests, including:
            1. Chemical Elements.
            2. Bacteria.
            3. Analysis of trace elements.
            4. Analysis of radioactive elements.
            5. Report on water quality according to specifications and quality standards and global levels.

  • Ecology development bureau supervised of a field to the projects, which include:
  1. The appointment of new drilling sites based on studies water and geophysics.
  2. Supervision the drilling.
  3. Supervision of the work of the pump tests.
  4. Design drilling.
  5. Consulting at office and/or field.
